The Application for Maintainence Allowance is one of the eServices offered under IPTO's Public Trustee eServices. It allows public users to apply to Public Trustee to apply for the monthly maintenance allowance and education payments for minor. The applicants are the Parent or Legal Guardian of the minor.

 1. Guidelines for Completion
 
 
a. This page displays the guidelines you have to take note of before proceeding to complete the application. To proceed, click on the [Next] button.
 
b. Usage of Buttons :
  Back : Brings you back to the previous page.
  Next : Verification of the information will begin once you click on the [Next] button.
  Clear Page : Clears the fields for the current page.
  Submit : The information you entered will be submitted.
  Cancel : You can abort the transaction by clicking on the [Cancel] button.

 2. Particulars of Subject  
 
 
a. This page requires that you specify the File Reference No. and the name of the Subject when making an application for maintenance of a minor. The File Reference number is the number assigned to cases administered by the Public Trustee.
 
b. A message will be displayed if the File Reference Number or the name of the Subject does not appear to match a validly registered case with Public Trustee OR if the Public Trustee does not have any cases bearing this File Reference No. relating to the Subject.

 3. Particulars of Child/ Particulars of Applicant/ Additional Information
 
 
a. This page requires that you enter information about the applicant, minor and other additional information such as the reasons for seeking the maintenance allowance. The list of the name(s) of the child/ children will be listed for you.
 
b. Enter all the required information.

 4. Bank Details for Payment via GIRO/ Particulars of Claim
 
 
a. This page requires that you enter the bank details and the particulars of the claim for maintenance.
 
b. Enter all the required information.

 5. Transaction Summary & Submission of Documents
 
a. This page displays the details of the application before you proceed to submit the application.
b. Please ensure that all the details are correct.
c. Documents should only be attached just before submission. Only documents of the PDF, GIF and JPG formats will be accepted.
d. Verification of the application details and the document(s) that you are required to attach will begin after you click on the [Submit] button.
e. If you need to make any amendments, click on the [Back] button to go back to the previous pages. Otherwise, click on the [Submit] button to complete the submission.
f. You can proceed to the other pages by clicking on the [Next] button or other TABs.

 6. Transaction Completion
 
 
The monies will be paid out within 1 month after receiving the completed Application Form and all required documents.
 
Upon a successful submission, this page will be displayed. An E-Filing Number will be generated for your reference. The details of the application submitted will be displayed. You should print out this page for your reference.

a. Identity card of applicant
 
b. Identity card of person maintaining the child if he/she is not maintained by applicant
 
c. Front page of the bank passbook in joint name of the applicant and child for GIRO payment of maintenance
 
d. Receipt to support claims for maintenance
