The Administration of
Deceased's Estate (Assets other than CPF Monies) is one of the
eServices offered under IPTO's Public Trustee eServices. It allows public
users to apply to the Public Trustee to administer estates of deceased
persons where the value of the estate does not exceed $50,000.00.
Public can apply to the Public Trustee to administer a deceased's
estate instead of applying to the Courts to appoint some other persons
(known as administrators) to administer the estate, if the deceased
died without leaving a Will (i.e. intestate).

This page provides
some of the important guidelines to take note before you
proceed with the application. |

You will be able
to Create a new application, Edit, Delete or View
applications that are pending submission. |

To create a new application for
the Administration
of a Deceased's Estate, the applicant must provide
the NRIC/ Passport no. Type and ID Number of the Deceased before clicking on
icon. |

| d. |
The page will
display all the applications that are pending submission
which you have created.
Each pending application will be retained in
the system for ONLY 7 calendar days. |

| e. |
If you have submitted
an application for the Administration of Deceased's Estate (CPF
Monies) electronically prior to this application for the
same Deceased, your particulars, the Deceased's
particulars as well as the Beneficiaries' particulars will be
retrieved. The information will be
displayed at the respective pages. |

Click on
to modify details previously entered in a pending

to delete a pending application. You will be asked to

If the Deceased is a Muslim, you will only be requested
to enter the details of Next of Kin under the Other Next of
Kin page. |

If the deceased was a Non-Muslim,
the Public Trustee will distribute the deceased's
estate in accordance with the Intestate Succession Act (Cap.
146). Section 7 provides for the following rules

The administration of the asset(s) will be completed within 3-6 months after receiving the
completed Application Form and all required documents.
If the beneficiary of the deceased's Other Assets is under the age of 21 years, the Public Trustee will hold the minor's share in trust until he attains 21 years old, whereupon the monies will be released to him.
